Finally, I have finished researching the series I want to watch next, and as you might have noticed, I am looking much more forward to this season than the last. Especially since I ended up watching nothing but Kaiji regularily - which didn’t even appear on my list. I hope and expect my predictions to be a little bit better this time.

Zoku Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei
I’m sure this series appears on lots of people’s list. Obviously this is my most anticipated series, even though I kind of dropped Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei after episode 9. I even fell asleep while watching it (but that was due to tiredness, not the series).
All in all, I’m glad to see more desperate craziness coming along.

Minami-ke
I read the manga but besides that, I actually have only watched the first episode. It’s a lovely story, and despite the not particularily original characters (a big sister à la Alicia from Aria, an energetic troublemaker à la Miu from Ichigo Mashimaro and a cool, grumpy little sister à la the little sister from Kamisama Kazoku) I love the dynamics between them. Just like Ichigo Mashimaro or Azumanga Daioh, I expect Minami-ke to be a great feeling-good-anime for breaks during exam study time.

Gunslinger Girl -Il Teatrino-
I would not say that I particularily liked the first season because I read the manga before. With the deep love I had for the first three volumes of the manga, the anime itself necessarily was a less important experience for me, since I only watched it out of fangirlism for the manga. However, I will definitely also watch the second season - I’m so glad it actually came out.

Aria the Origination
I admit that I haven’t continued watching Aria for months, partially because I feared that it would be over. Now that this fear is gone, I’m still very, very behind with the episodes, even though I would myself a fangirl of the whole Aria merchandise. So of course I am looking forward to the next season, and I wonder how I would feel if after 4 years of Aria (or something), the series would be really over.

Mnemosyne
A the beginning, Mnemosyne only figures on this list, because I saw the website’s intriguing promo picture (so stylish and black!) and because I have always like Mnemosyne as a greek goddess (I especially like the sound of the name, just like Nausicaä or Terpsichore or Euterpe or Calliope or Clio, ah, Clio! XD). The daughters of Mnemosyne therefore refer to the muses - maybe the characters even have their names…
And now, the trailer got me hooked for real. I can see Ergo Proxy-like animation problems coming towards us, but at the same time, the anime does look very good, the story intriguing, and the seiyuu even more so. If you look on my MAL, Noto Mamiko and Tanaka Rie are both among my favourites, after all.
I expect the story to be a little bit like Gilgamesh, even though I never watched it. After all, the “Yggdrasil Production Commitee” was also involved in Gilgamesh, right?

Ookami to Koushinryou
I have read a hentai doujin and the first chapter of the manga, also Andrew Cunningham promotes the novel as a good series, so how is it possible for me not to look forward to the series? Also, I really like the girl, heh.

Shigofumi
Here’s a series that Pip has pointed me to. The cast list is very interesting indeed and the trailer doesn’t sound too bad, but it sounds like Shinigami no Ballad all over. I was so looking forward to it back then and then was deeply disappointed. I hope that the “last letter” idea is better and leads to really touching stories. We’ll see.
(Somehow I am missing 6-episodes-anime. They were such a nice, fast watch even though I have disliked all of them so far. But Mnemosyne is a 6-episodes-series anyways, yatta!)

Hatenkou Yuugi
Another series I know nothing about, but experience has shown that the best series are those that are not based on a story I know already and those that I haven’t predicted to be good at all. The only thing I can say for now is that I like the illustrations and especially the girl’s clothes *hrr* To me, it’s therefore definitely worth looking at the first episode.
Persona
When danbooru was still alive, I found myself downloading those Persona 3 fan arts all the time because they somehow look so incredibly good. Since then, I have always kind of liked Persona without even knowing what it was about. I will most definitely at least look at the first episode.

Rosario+Vampire
Even though the mark “Gonzo” still makes me think of NHK, Gankutsuou and Red Garden, I find the character design very pretty so far and the animation quality rather decent, so there is a slight possibility that I want a generic shounen series for relaxing purposes. I also am a big Moka fan, so we’ll see.

Noramimi
I dropped the manga, so what is there to say? I doubt anybody would sub it anyways, just like how nobody has ever subbed Tetsuko no Tabi, so I would just watch Noramimi if it comes out simply because it’s based on an IKKI manga. (And now I am seriously wondering why I feel like it’s been awhile since the last adaptation of an Afternoon manga.)

Persona is really nice yes
It´s my precious :p only setback for the third game is the “suicide” we have to witness every time magic/skills are used. Never thought it would be released outside Japan actually.
But sofar, anime looks intresting enough for me to watch the first ep.
Thanks for bringing Ookami to Koushinryou to my attention, wolf girls? Me Like

Gunslinger Girl second season jumped to the top of my list, although Macross Frontier will be another must-see. You can’t beat Jpop, teen angst and varitech action, after all.
