Comes the return of the deadliest SRPG”
“The SRPG that gamers

“This one
Will Surpass Them All!”
Looking for comedy and parodies that will make you smile from ear to ear?
Then this is the game for you. Everything in this game looks, plays and sounds wonderful along with jokes/parody that will leave you hurting from all the laughter.
Or what would you say when you meet a boy that has the looks of a cow? With horns and everything? And all his special attacks are basically that he drinks different kinds of milk to improve his status for the battle?
Or a frog with a split personality? One side is blue, calm, likes to flirt with girls and is a true gentleman while his “other” side is red, angry and can´t be reasoned with?
These are just two of the characters you´ll encounter in Disgaea 2: Cursed Memories. The main duo, Adell and Rozalin are two people who have secrets they don´t know of themselves, Rozalin gets her secret revealed to her in the endgame but for Adell he´s still unknowing.
Kinda sad in my opinion, as the player we get to know what his secret is. It does explain everything but still, I want Adell to know of this as well.

For everyone who doesn´t recall who this gal is then you really need to play Disgaea. She´s Etna, a cruel but caring demon who was a vassal for Laharl in the first game. Now she´s out to no good as she left Laharl back in his Netherworld and took all the Prinnies that she could find with her so Laharl isn´t happy.
She´s one of four characters that make an apperance from the first Disgaea. If you want to find out who the other three are then buy the two games and play them ![]()
It´s well worth the money if you´re a SRPG fanatic like I am. In Disgaea 2 you even get a preview of the Disgaea anime.
As a finishing spot: Here´s some fanservice Disgaea 2 Style

Happy gaming, see you at lvl 9999!!

I just bought this game and will be playing it soon…I had a break from gaming for a while but now the SRPG addiction is back and eating away at my spare time.

If you have played the first there is only one setback - It is much “easier” than the other one. Or that was atleast my experience, but then I had spent time with Disgaea, Makai Kingdom, La Pucelle Tactics and many more games that involve strategy so that could have something to do with it
Have fun while playing it.

Posted 23 Jun 2007 at 12:21 CE(S)T ¶I used to play srpgs like that. That was years ago. Nowadays, TV and internet killed my brain and I don’t have the patience to go through ages of tutorials just to play a game. I actually borrowed one of the Disgaea games from a friend, but never managed to get past the tutorial…shame on me -_-
Btw, how come everything on the blog is english, but the comment submit is german
Posted 24 Jun 2007 at 21:16 CE(S)T ¶It´s easy to get past the tutorial, just answer “No” when promted if you want to take the tutorial :p
And it isn´t that hard either, just basic stuff how you move around and attack. The hardest part in Disgaea/Disgaea 2 is to get big geo panel chains. Otherwise it´s quite simple: Survive :p
For the language, you´ll have to ask Sasa, I´m just a guestblogger.

[...] Final Thoughts Disgaea 1 and 2 are like two halves of the same whole; whilst I initially thought this couldn’t possibly measure up to the first, it instead complements it well by maintaining the core of what makes Disgaea great and experimenting with a few tweaks that have both positive and negative effects. If you enjoy SRPGs, there is no reason not to buy this game- as Manga said, “Play it, like it, love it”. [...]
