Bartender Ep.4

Cider~ Future Divorcees

You know what the problem with Bartender is? The story is so, so cheesy. Well, it’s a healing anime after all, but it is overdoing it a little bit. Aria at least has the “Embarassing remarks are not allowed!”-comment indicating that the creators are aware of their own cheesiness, but with Bartender, it seems to be different. Weird to see that the manga doesn’t appear as cheesy.

Aside from that, I think that this is the best episode of Bartender so far. I would show this episode first if I were to recommend the anime to somebody, it definitely is nice. Maybe it’s also because I adore love stories in anime/manga for older people. At least that’s better than some person who hates bars (the hell?) or an old japanese who wants to hold on his traditions.

Anyways, the stories of the customers is not what Bartender is about, if you ask me. In fact, they amuse me but I fail to care for the customers in the end. What is great about this anime are… the cocktails! It is so addicting that I’m currently browsing the internet for cocktails, knowing perfectly that I don’t have the opportunity to drink one anyways. *hrr*

Bartender is now the only anime of the new season that I am watching, but Milkmaster is not. Harr harr. Considering how much he likes alcohol, I guess he’ll be convinced soon *g*

But there are so many shows in the new season that are excellent! Anyway it’s true that the best part of Bartender are the fancy drinks and preparations. A bit like Yakitate Japan really.

Ugh, well, in fact I am watching… 5 of them and I wouldn’t really say they are excellent. Am I watching the wrong shows? XD

Yakitate Japan is an interesting phenomenon too. I have totally forgotten about it even though it was a manga that I used to like a lot.

I watch this show and once the 22 minutes is over I’m utterly convinced that Bartending is the most important job in the world, requiring skills on par with neuro surgery.

If I may make one suggestion though: I need more people to be like “THIS CAN’T BE!” owned sound along with the eye widen when they taste the drink give to them. Sell me on it!
