I was prepared to write a huge post about my new Suzumiya Haruhi, but I think I will end up not writing much.
Why the comparison? Well, that’s a personal thing:
- both anime turned out to be surprisingly good
- they both aren’t any manga adaptation, thus I didn’t know anything about the story before
- they’re both anime that don’t really appeal to most of my friends (you know, everybody watches Mushishi, but nobody Suzumiya Haruhi *snif*)
- both are very suspenseful and funny at the same time
- both aren’t very “deep”, but mostly entertaining
- it’s actually difficult for me to say what I exactly like about these anime!

What else should I say about this anime…? At first I thought I wouldn’t like it, because
- it looks like a copy of a copy of a copy of Cowboy Bebop
- it does not look like an intelligent plot
- it is an action series… even though I like them, I know that there is a lot of crap
- there are no characters that looked particularily interesting, it’s no a character-centered anime anyways
- all in all, it looks like a substance-less anime
But after so many recommendations I just had to watch it. I guess I will always be later than other people to watch anime because with a few exceptions, I just don’t have the time to watch every first episode of a season immediately when it comes out to see if I like it. It turned out that I have to thank all of you who have blogged about this series (especially tj who has written a gorgeous guide to the 12 sisters, my favourite as well obviously, and tsubaki who has called it “Gothic Lolita Faptime Show” which I will use from now on~)
It’s difficult to say what I actually like about GL Faptime Show, but I immediately took a liking on it… Now let’s see:
