Honey & Clover II Ep.12

So small />.< Hagu again X-)

First of all, I have to point out this post on RIUVA. I had a good laugh and it’s exactly how I’m feeling… mon dieu, it’s over! Aaaaah!
I just couldn’t wait any longer… it’s been more than one week since the episode aired, so I just had to download the chinese subs now.

It was really difficult, not to say impossible to take screenshots. I wanted some of Hagu’s good-bye gift for Takemoto, because it is the most important scene of the episode… maybe even of the whole series if you think of the title. But then I figured that those just don’t look good. ^^;;;

Honey & Clover II Ep.11

So small />.< Hagu again X-)

This episode felt like a transition from the drama of last episode to Hagu’s final decision (which, unfortunately, I know already).

I don’t really know how to express it, but the events of this episode are rather surprising to me. Hagu seriously asks Shuu-chan to “give his life for her”. Uh… *g* And the atmosphere of this episode wasn’t as great as episodes 8-10. Nevertheless, I can’t stop taking screenshots of Hagu *argh* XD I’m sorry…

Honey & Clover II Ep.10

Hagu x Shuu? Loli X-)

Personally, I have the impression that everything was said by everyone, but apparently I have managed to write a lot about this. XD
Unlike season 1 which I more or less marathoned through, I am following season 2 weekly while reading other people’s opinions about the anime and discussing it with them. Maybe this is one of the reason I am getting a totally other impression of this season. It could also be that there are other reasons…

Honey & Clover II Ep.9

A sunset again I love sleeping images

Well, what am I supposed to say about this episode? This episode, and the one that preceded this, were the most touching episodes that Honey & Clover has ever produced. Nevertheless, I did not really cry. Am I heartless? Have I gotten too old?

Honey & Clover II Ep.8

The personalization of beauty II The personalization of beauty

This is supposed to be a Hagu-chan episode, I figure… Actually I have thought from the start that Hagu is the main protagonist of this series - this episode (and the last chapter of the manga) are making me believe in this again. Hagu is the person who is getting everybody together, after all. And now she is the one whose accident is changing everybody’s lives.

I was actually surprised to see how Hagu seems to like Shuu-chan, of all people O.o

I dislike the insert song of this episode… how can such a crucial episode get such an awful insert song?

Emma, especially her figure (the breasts!) look like xxxHolic’s Yuuko XD

Well, unlike everybody else, I love Hagu-chan. One day, when I’ll have the time, I want to write a long essay about what is so great about her… *hrr*

Did I mention it already? I want a kabu-tan!

I first thought that Shinobu is looking away all the time because he feels remorse towards the Floyd guy, but then I understood that he knew despite having brought that Floyd guy down, Kaoru would not become happy, because the lost of his father cannot be undone.

This is the best episode of the whole second season so far. Hagu’s story, Kaoru’s story… I can’t feel but being overwhelmed. This is the first time in the second season where I truly had the urge to see more!

Oh yeah, something about the manga: Somebody posted a translation of it, and if you don’t want to be spoilered, don’t continue to read.

Honey & Clover II Ep.7

I love the Morita family including Tatsuo. Seeing the little scene about the airplane competition is enough. Even though they are so different, even though they have their faults, I can feel nothing but sympathy for them. Tatsuo is very much like Takemoto and Kaoru: They all have a person in whose shadow they are standing in. Hehe, it’s interesting to see that from the very first moment I heard Tatsuo talking I understood that and why he betrayed him. His feeling of enviousness encompasses that one of Kaoru and Takemoto, and is much more unhealthy to begin with.
I see Morita taking a similar path actually, when he has nobody to protect him. He also is the kind of inconsiderate, way too cheerful person. Any rather pessimistic person without a strong self-confidence would probably envy him.
On the other hand, I love Kaoru. Much more than Shinobu even. (But Chibi-Shinobu is so cute *~* XD) He is no talent, but he is strong, understanding, and intelligent, just in another way than Shinobu and his father. I guess he is also the one who finally took revenge for his father on Floyd Electronic.

Honey & Clover II Ep.6

I want to build a kabu-tan! This is so cute! And I want a white cat with green eyes *~* It looks like a reincarnation of Pochi *_* (In fact, I want a black one…)

“To build something huge, you need an even bigger base.” This is so true, and even though it sounds so simple, or rather because it is so simple, I like it *g*

Back to the anime itself, I enjoyed the Takemoto, Morita and Hagu parts a lot, because they are my favourite characters. I also feel like they are the ones that have the ‘deepest’ background.

Honey & Clover II Ep.4&5

Okay, everyone, without spoilering too much, I can already say that I absolutely dislike the end of the manga.

How can you actually make a living with pottery? *haha* Oh well, but as long as the rest of Ayu’s character traits seem credible, I’m okay with that *g*

A pineapple in the bath! YAY! Miwako-san sure is gorgeous…

Honey & Clover II Ep.3

I can’t stand Rika, I can’t stand her at all - and I can’t decide whether I should feel sorry for Mayama or despite him for having fallen in love with her… I wish the story would move on with Takemoto and Hagu again.

My main issue with Rika is that I more and more get the impression that she uses Mayama. She only cares about herself and her dead (!) husband, working the whole time while thinking about him and acting according to what he would have wanted - and simply decides to take Mayama to Spain without telling him and discussing it with him beforehand. She seemingly cares for his feelings and apparently likes him, but she’s unable to act accordingly. If she really comes to like him (as it is suggested in episode 2), she would open herself a bit more, and stop being that goddamn EMO!

Honey & Clover II Ep.2

I realized that I am a lot more interesting in the Hagu-Takemoto-Morita triangle rather than the Ayu-Rika-Mayama triangle. Ayu+Norita is <3 though - I have started to like Norita a lot *g* Well, he’s just a lot more mature than Mayama, so…
