I know, it was a manga with 7 volumes, while the anime has 50 volumes. It’s been ages since I’ve read volume 1, so I totally forgot about Tsutomu dating Mariko… I remember that there was such a thing - but I can’t remember the big fuss about it. I can imagine they stretched this storyline a lot, but I don’t mind it that much. As long as the story is moving on, I’m fine with that though.
The background music and also the pacing of this episode are a lot better, imho. The story actually has become a bit more suspenseful, and the night shots are creating a rather nice atmosphere *g*

I knew that I would not like this episode that much because a girl wanting her boyfriend to only think about her is pretty… annoying ^^;; But oh well, I think I will love Gokinjo nevertheless. It’s the kind of anime where I expect a certain girlishness and thus tolerate it. (But slowly it’s getting annoying… Mikako and Body-ko both are obnoxious, poor Tsutomu.)
The soundtrack so does not match the anime XD It feels as if I am watching the anime and some weird music is coming from the other side of the room. Well, it can’t be helped. It’s a 90s anime that looks like the worst of the 80s XD

oh, I watchend Gokinjo yesterday and forgot to write about it! Well… this episode was a little bit less interesting than the last one, I’m afraid.
And I feel sorry for poor Thurisaz that I’m still writing about something he doesn’t know. But hey, this IS an anime blog!
1. I hate the back ground music. Fortunately, music isn’t that dominating in this anime… I just cannot believe how people can use such awful 80s disco music as background music for anime. Aaaaah!
2. I honestly think that Mikako is nothing but childish. Sure, she’s in love with him and everything. But does that give her the right to expect herself to be the /most/ important thing to him? She didn’t even realize her love for him before… Poor Tsutomu. I couldn’t stand that girl for one single day. I wonder if she was like that in the manga too.

Oh, how much I love this anime! The animation style is unbelievably bad, but it doesn’t matter! WARP! Miwako and everyone’s character design are so lovely, although they look so amateur-ish done.
As far as the first episode goes, the story is very similar to the manga (but obviously there will be a lot of filler episodes in this 50-episodes production). I’m glad to see that this manga - unlike Paradise Kiss - follows the style of the manga very closely. Just like I have expected, the anime has all the good points of the manga. *heart*
