Awww~, those wing covers are so cute *hihi* And Rakka’s new outfit is even better than the one before *_* (She’s lucky for getting those *g*) I wonder why everybody’s attributing cuteness to Haibane Renmei. The wings, the characters and all the items - of course they are cute. But there are no sparkling colours, no pink at all… and there was a certain melancholy and seriousness over the series since the beginning which made me totally forget about the cuteness which, for example, shows on ABe’s pictures.

Uh, actually I have totally forgotten to write about these episodes. This is very bad, because it was highly interesting… and I have come to like the series more and more. The more mysteries there are, the less the anime feels like some simple slice of life thing - now I want to see the ‘resolution’!
I hope I will have more to write about when I watch the last episodes… because I feel a little bit bad not having written much about these ones. Especially since it’s now time to think up theories of what Haibane really are etc… (for some reason, I don’t really like the theory that they are all suicides… how can there be “good” and “bad” Haibane then?)

I have watched episode 5 another time to make me remember the story again XD
I love the background music… it’s just like Simoun - a background music that makes the whole anime a lot better.
The library part in episode 5 was great - the job sounds so lovely (not only because I love old books), I wished for Rakka to stay here (although I know that she probably won’t). It’s a little bit difficult to get a grip of what this anime actually is about. The atmosphere is nice, especially with the music - but that’s not all. I do believe that this anime has some sort of hidden and deeper meaning…

I wonder when this anime will start to become at least a very little bit… suspenseful. XD I’m missing the storyline somehow, I think. What is the difference between Haibane Renmei and Kino no Tabi, I wonder? Well, first Haibane Renmei does not tell “stories”, it’s not episodic, it rather gives you an insight in the characters and the town rather than in “things” in general. Then there is no apparent depth in this anime so far. I know it will come slowly, but right now, everything is very calm and peaceful, really depressingly peaceful XD The only character who is really interesting is Reki with her mysterious past.
Somehow I really liked the story of the beginning of the world XD It’s so cute. And the green book looks so cute as well! I want a replica of it~
The summaries will be very crappy, but oh well.

Now I remember. This night I dreamed something that reminds me of Haibane Renmei. I consider this anime as something very, very depressing, and I still think this is mostly because of the beige-greyish colours… And if my dream was similar to this anime, then that means it was a depressive dream. Oh I am so screwed up recently, I hope so much this will change tomorrow.
This episode was nice, I hope to see and understand more of the whole life in that world. But it still leaves me with some bitter feeling behind. Damn.

I read many positive things about Haibane Renmei in different forums - and if I remember correctly, someone also directly recommended this anime to me. Anyway, after I saw that this is an anime with character designs by Yoshitoshi Abe, I immediately fell in love with the illustrations. This anime just has 13 episodes, so it should be fine for me to watch it until the end *g*
